The Pearson 424 is a 42 foot sailboat designed by Bill Shaw and manufactured by Pearson Yachts from 1978 to 1983. P424s are predominantly ketch rigged, but some sloops and cutters were manufactured. Some ketches have been modified to sloops over the years as well.
The Pearson 422, a center cockpit version, were built in the same hull as the 424. Many of the manufacturing techniques were shared between the two models.
This volunteer-run site is for current and past owners of Pearson 424s as well as others who are interested in this classic bluewater capable cruising yacht. Our community are actively sailing, maintaining and enhancing our good old boats.
