Shown here is the custom cabinet that I installed over the galley. A one-piece cooler lid with hydrolic lift replaces the original two-piece lid. It is hinged on the back, well insulated, and has a gasket all the way around. A fitted screen is installed in all deck hatches.

Here is another picture of the galley that shows a storage locker built underneath the galley drawers; great for storing pots and pans. Also shown is a knife rack. The can crusher helps reduce the volume of trash that we must manage.

Shown here are two simple changes that make life easier. A small rack is added next to the book case to hold a pair of flashlights. Below is a rack to hold hatch boards when not in-place. The hatch boards are hinged together to make one piece. No more fumbling in the dark to put them together.

This picture shows the other side of the overhead galley cabinet. A television and VCR are built in.

A Force-10 slimline heater was bolted to the forward bulkhead. A tile barrier protects the bulkhead. The fan improves the heater efficiency considerably. This heater works very well, but uses a lot of propane.

The chart table depth was extended by six inches and the chair moved out to make the chart table more comfortable. No more bumping my head into the switch panel. A pencil box was added to the front of the table to support the extension. The stool was replaced with a swivel chair with a folding back rest. The hanging locker door will now only open part way unless the chart table top is lifted.
