Well, the reason I mentioned it is, last year, I
finished installing the deck fittings for the Solent
Stay. I had used the drawings provided by Jack Tyler,
and I believe John Stevenson. Never gave it a thought
and had the parts made. When I went to install the
backing plate inside the anchor locker, I discovered,
much to my dismay, The plate was too long. I am
thinking maybe my locker is a bit shallow compared to
other 424’s. No panic though, I just drilled another
set of holes (3/8’s stainless) and mounted the plate
sideways.
Rum on a Friday evening, imagine that. Barbacourt?
