Without making things complicated or imposing on
anyone , what kind of arrangements could someone make
that cannot bring the boat?
I was thinking of driving to Conn., taking the ferry
and meeting up.
I haven’t seen any nearby hotels. I thought I saw
someone else on here that was doing the same thing.

Sounds like you’ll be the first on scene and will
drop that big boy in 12 ft. ! Everyone will then
raft up and we’ll keep an eye on the wx. Try and
anchor to the north (and just west of the mooring
field) after you turn west so we’ll be closer to
the Marina and beach. Don’t turn until you hit buoy
“22”.
I have confirmed with my Marina that we have an area
available to us for dinner and BBQ. I am awaiting
dinghy dock info. There is a nice beach just to the
east as you enter the breakwater where we can all
gather for lunch if we so desire.
Again I want to remind the group to bring provisions
with you!! There are no grocery stores at the
harbor. If necessary I could always drive to a
nearby market, but I’d prefer not to have to. There
is ice available from my marina and the others.
After our BBQ we can certainly go into the nearby
restaurant and hang at the bar for those that wish
to, or return to the anchorage.
As for discussions we certainly have no lack of
material, what with our boats being as old as they
are! It will be great to see what everyone has
done.
