Just confirming Rodd’s note. No bus there. Taxi across Shelter Island and in
to E Hampton. That’s a total of three ferries. One wait for one ferry for
sure (max 20 minutes) on Shelter, and VERY expensive. You could take a train
from Orient Point BACK WEST to I think Riverhead or further, and then change
to the Montauk line. Cheap…and interminable.
