That will probably depend on the surge capacity of the inverter and if this
machine likes to run on a modified sine wave or not. It will be interesting
to hear how Quent powers his.
I found a place near Toronto that has these units for $150 CAN (about $120
US). If I am in the area, I may pick up one to try. There is something to be
said about the simplicity of a pail and plunger though. The spin dry ability
is probably what interests me the most on these units. I noticed they cost
about the same as a quality clothes wringer. Of course a quality clothes
wringer will last a lifetime, while these Chinese made units definitely fall
into the disposable appliance category.
