When I acquired my 1982 Ketch six years ago, records on engine use were skimpy and that difficult to reach metal pipe that runs fresh water about 6 inches on the aft side had developed a pinhole. I rebuilt all the accessories and overhauled the engine, and it has purred sweetly ever since. I did have a starter problem once but it was resolved. I felt comfy knowing there were no surprises coming and I had a leg on the condition of everything from accessories to rings.
