      Hello all,

My water deck fill caps have deteriorated to the point they need replacement. Sadly, they appear to be an odd size and I cannot find a suitable cap anywhere. I presume these are the original factory caps. No manufacturer name is visible on the cap or the deck fill housing. I am looking at replacing the entire housing assembly as an alternative but would like to avoid that expense. My cap measures about 1.790 inches (diameter) at the threads and 1.950 at the very top (where the tool is inserted to unscrew the cap). Anybody cracked this one in the past? Appreciate any thoughts…

I think you probably have the same caps as me. Mine are black plastic with a slot on the top for a deck key. These are a generic 1.5″ cap. You can find these on ebay or online. Try this.

Thanks for the response, Todd. And I wish you were right! The 1.5 inch caps from marinedepotdirect are too small. By a pretty good margin. Yes, the pipe used on my boat is 1.5 inch. But these plastic caps don’t fit the housing. Nor do the more expensive SS caps from West Marine. The 1.5″ is too small. The 2″ is too large. What the heck? Pretty weird…
