The Pearson 424 is a 42′ 4″ foot sailboat designed by Bill Shaw and manufactured by Pearson Yachts from 1978 to 1983. P424s are predominantly ketch rigged, but some sloops and cutters were manufactured.

The Pearson 422, a center cockpit version, were built in the same hull as the 424. Many of the manufacturing techniques were shared between the two models.

This volunteer-run site is for past, current or future owners of Pearson 424s.  Our community are actively sailing, maintaining and enhancing our good old boats.

We are funded purely by donations, and will never sell advertising. Rather our aim is to support an active and engaged community through our content and interactions. We’re always open to suggestions, and we’re looking to grow and improve. If you ever feel like you’re getting too many emails, feel free to change your profile settings for your email subscriptions.
