The manifolds that I got are made of copper. They come in various lengths from four to ten ports on them. The advantage to it is; one line coming from the hot water heater into the manifold and multiple lines coming out to the various outlets. Very clean and secure because you can connect them with compression fittings. I have two manifolds that have six outlets on them, one for hot and one for cold water. They also have a shut-off valve on each outlet. I'll take a picture of the set-up and post it.
