Bob,
A diving hookah is on my wish list, too. Have you researched them at all?

ModeratorHi Tor,
Yes I have – I like the electric ones because, well, they're electric. There are 12v and 120v, and I figure with the generator, the 120 would be more robust. I don't want to float around the world with it. I just want to be able to do my bottom work and maybe help out a mate.
Here's a company I like: http://www.airlinebyjsink.com/electichookah.html
And one that's been around for a long time: http://www.browniedive.com/hooka/index.shtml
It's gonna be 1 grand no matter what, eh?

Yandina marine on line has an article in their projects section about using an oil less small air compressor for that purpose. It looks like it would work and would be the budget sensitive way to go.

Wow, what a cool idea. And just what I always wanted – another project to tackle! (Just kidding. It really is a good idea, and one that I’ll pursue before I take off.) That’s a great site section, full of good ideas. Thanks, Linus.
