My first dumpster find!

  After years of hearing about all the great stuff thrown away in marina dumpsters, today I actually dove in!
  
  Somebody threw away an air-X wind generator. It has really bad paint, and a busted nose cone.
  I’d guess it’s 10 years old.
  
  But it’s basically just a motor right? So I figure I can rebuild it. Uh, anybody know how to do that? Tomorrow of course I’ll call southwest windpower, and try to take the guts out to get it powdercoated. But anybody have any insight into these things?

  I suggest disassembly and cleaning with PB-Blaster. You may find that it needs new brushes and possibly bearings and seals. You can’t tell until you disassemble it however.
