Just got back from a 10 day trip to the Vineyard and Cape. Noticed that at the end of each day when I went to charge batteries, one bank always took about twice the amperage of the second bank, even though both banks were placed in parallel at all times to increase the overall amp hours of the now one bank. Banks are identical, 2 Trojan T-105’s in each bank yielding a total of 425 Ah.

Would one suspect that the bank that is not being drawn down as far is failing, or not up to snuff? I find this very curious!

      Thanks for your thoughts.

      Hi Rodd,

I'd first check the connections on the batteries to make sure there's no corrosion. Then, it sounds like one bank is weak. It would draw down quicker because it doesn't hold a charge properly.

      That's my guess.
