I remember seeing a post where someone replaced the old style Pearson mizzen sheet with a boom vang at the aft end of the boom. Does anyone know what the sheet size should be. I can’t imagine it needs to be much over 1/2 but less would be hard on the hands when pulling to tighten. I’m trying to bid on ebay and it’s hard to tell the size of some of the used fiddle blocks.

      Any suggestions would be appreciated.

      Hi Linus,

For the mizzen sheet I used 3/8″ Stayset. It's a pretty small sail and the line is easy to handle. I have a 4 or 5 part sheet which I can take a picture of if you'd like.

      Hi Linus,

Attached is a small photo (all I could find quickly) of our mizzen set up. The sail is small so that with a four to one purchase as we have, 3/8″ line is not at all uncomfortable.

      Hope this helps.

Great! I’ve found some blocks for 7/16 max that are in my price range if the bidding doesn’t go crazy.
