      Guys:

I spoke with Milltech and learned they are coming out with a new unit in a week or 2 that does the following:

      1. True dual channel unit
      2. NMEA 0183 wired output–for nmea in on chart plotters
      3. USB out- for connection to PC
      4. built-in antenna splitter –to enable use of existing VHF antenna

All this at price of $399– as usual tech gets better and cheaper every 6 mos or so!!

      Rod,
Thanks for info, now would you like to buy my SR161 so I can afford the new model.
Actually only the dual channel operation interests me (which was available in the SR162).  I get the output to the PC and chart plotter via an NMEA mux, and I already have a dedicated antenna on the mizzen masthead.
However, if I were just planning to install an AIS receiver, those features would definitely get my attention.
