SpectatorEverytime I set on the swing out button seat for the nav station I am dissapointed beyond belief. So many things done so well on the P424, but the seat is too high to even use the nav desk and the electronics shelf.
I think soe of you have pu tin better seats, but has anyone done any more extensive remodels of this area? If so pictures would be geat as I’m starting to think about this but not yet working on it.

I made the desktop wider because I was tired of hitting my head against the circuit breakers. The table top must now be raised and latched to fully open the hanging locker, but that was unavoidable. The seat is a standard powerboat seat mounted on the stock swivel. The swivel was relocated inboard and lowered a bit.

SpectatorI didn’t realize I hadn’t gone through those ones. I have added them all to my P424 Modifications page.
Now I’m overwhelmed with ideas which is right where I need to be as I ponder doing this at some point.

ParticipantYeah. Our house is KISS. What height was that pedestal? Looks real nice.

I have an Atwood ( I think) helm seat on my poarch in Oriental that a friend gave to me. My big ol’ butt doesn’t fit but I think that it may fit you. I’m planning on making a removable box with a flip up lid for storage at some point. That way I can make it in the big butt size. You’re welcome to the helm seat if you want it. It has the pedistal and fitting for the bottom. My wife would like it off the poarch. I will be down on the weekend of July 11th give me a call if you want it.

ParticipantOOPS! somehow I thought that Jack needed a seat in Oriental. It probably would cost more to ship than it’s worth.
