For your info I just saw a listing for a Westerbeke 60 on e-bay with 960 hrs. The engine is in Washington State (Standwood) about 60 miles south of where I live. He has one bid for $875. This is the last day of bidding.

It is amazing how good they look with a coat of paint on them. Funny, my 30 yr old W60 has 960 hours on it as well. I guess the hour meters were designed to break just before they rolled over 1000 hours 🙂

Boy you have high hours on your engine. My 1980 Weterbeke only has 78 hrs on her, and she has sailed 1000 of miles. I need a new coat of red paint on it and I can call it an overhaul engine. (Oh yes this is its third hour meter) but who’s counting. LOL

make sure you get all the hoses when you paint it. On ebay, is that a 4-60 or a w60? seems different from ours, noting the heat exch., exhaust, etc.-as
