ParticipantHi Guys:
Has anybody installed a roller furl
system on the mizzen? I’m looking to install a cheap external unit. My mizzen is an absolute pain to strech over the top of the bimini and pull off the sail cover and ties. I’ve almost gone swimming too many times!

ParticipantI have a hood furler on my mizzen. I have been happy with it. Its EZ to use and I also works great as a anchor sail. When I get back from my trip on sunday I will send you a photo.

ParticipantI have a stack pack on mine that the PO put on. I also put the zipper on a line attached to both ends of the boom with a 2 small blocks. it works like the old time clothes lines. I can stand at one end and pull the zipper all the way back or forward.s

ParticipantI have the same set up as Alan, only I put mine on. It works great. The only down fall is that acts as an eaves trough during heavy rain.

ParticipantThe PO had roller furling installed on both the main and mizzen. I’m not going to lie to you, Its freaking awesome!
My wife can raise and lower the sails by herself in a minute, and without ever leaving the cockpit.
On our previous boat it was always my job to go on deck to wrestle the main. I don’t miss it.
