RichCarterParticipantDon,
Your posting got to me. We’ve been without power and more importantly internet access for the past few days. I didn’t notice the lack of activity. Lets talk about boats. “There is nothing–absolutely nothing–half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats,”Regards

ModeratorHi Don,
You didn't hurt the forum, but you might have killed the Internet…

ParticipantWe’ve been preoccupied with keeping the boat safe from the tsunami, but we are still here. Lesson learned: we have to be prepared to spend days or weeks offshore if a tsunami hits as the bays will probably be filled with debris. Next time we’ll have more than one bottle of wine aboard!

ParticipantAloha Dan
were you out there in that mess, never saw so many boats in the harbor at one time. Anyway only had time to gather guns, rice and fishing equipment, water maker on board, if you call that ready? it was kind of weird waiting for the big bang to come around the corner at Koko head. We figurted we had 1 1/2 seconds to get ready for the swell once we saw the lead boat start to wobble. It turned out to be an easty sail back to the marina.
I guess that was a good wakeup call,

This is the first email I have seen in over a week. Was starting to wonder if everyone went off trying to catch Tor……

Heck, I’m easy to catch now. Haven’t moved the boat since I got to Grenada Tuesday afternoon and don’t plan to anytime soon. There’s a 424 cutter in the harbor adjacent to mine, in a small marina there. Already forgot her name – where do the brain cells go? – but I think the hailing port was Chicago.

ModeratorMonday when the weather is warmer and the winds are out of the SE, I'll be leaving Key West 🙁 for Tampa. Lots of little cricks and mangroves to visit on the way, though.

ParticipantTor, Glad you found a place to settle into…. like we talked about?
I am anchored outside of Jolly Harbor in Antigua. I’ll be leaving around noon tomorrow for St Barts then onto St Martin.
I am finally getting the hang of this, I haven’t checked into the last 3 countries I’ve been in.
