RichCarterParticipantInteresting, I know it was pretty far out but I didn’t realize it was that
far. I don’t see that its possible to avoid the danger area if it includes
the whole ocean. I keep a shot-gun onboard, but it would be no match for a
determined group of pirates armed with AK-47s. I agree that its my
responsibility to protect the boat, but what’s someone headed through the
Suez canal supposed to do? By a rocket-launcher and mount it ondeck? So what happens next? Do we bring the captured pirates back and treat them
as normal criminals or do we just hang them? Let me guess, they’ll be
brought here. Some high-profile lawyer will take the case. The news will
be full of how disadvantaged these poor people are and how they were just
trying to feed their families.
They’ll get a light sentence and become US citizens while in jail, getting
out after 5 years. Or maybe they’ll be released because they were not read
their rights? We should have just shot them on the spot! What has become of us? There is an island at the entrance to Boston harbor,
Nixes Mate. In colonial days, there was a steel cage on the island.
Pirates when caught would be placed in the cage and left to rot.Rich

Rich
You’ll be pleased to know that a felon cannot seek naturalization as a citizen in most cases.
