Going to drain and replace engine antifreeze this spring. I currently have regular Prestone. I plan on replacing with Extended Life Prestone. On Prestone’s web sight I noticed there is also a product called Heavy Duty Extended Life Antifreeze. Is anyone familiar with the difference in the two and which one would you guys recommend??

      Thanks.

      Rodd,

I used heavy duty extended life, sort beige-green in color, for several years on Easy Reach without any apparent problems to the closed cooling system. I did discover the source of some leaks after I disassembled most of the outside parts. The main sources were an ill fitting connector and a jury rig of two hoses under the engine as a substitute for the original special shaped tube it replaced.
