ParticipantWe are in the middle of a refit and ordered a new fuel tank. Our original tank was made in Massachusetts in 1977. I contacted the original mfg (still in business) and they told me they sold their fuel tank division to Florida Marine Tanks in the 80’s. FMT is pretty common knowledge I think, I just wanted to share our experience. We went back and forth several times, with FMT, regarding measurements and requirements. FMT was great to work with. They told us it would take a minimum of four weeks, the tank showed up three weeks later and it was perfect! The measurements were spot on. We added a second pick up and return for the generator. We are really happy. Tank was $800 plus $125 freight.

SpectatorHow did you get the fuel tank into the boat? Most of the other owners have
done two tanks so they didn’t need to cut out the cockpit floor.-p

ParticipantWe removed the engine and lifted it through the aft companionway, had about an inch to spare.
