ParticipantIn Silverheels’ main salon Pearson used hard-backed
Velcro to hold the settee backrest cushions in place.
Does anyone know where to buy that hard-backed Velcro?Tor

RichCarterParticipantI got sick and tired of the stuff. I attached a cloth flap to the top of the cushions with snaps.
There’s a bug in the website builder I used to create these pages. The pictures got scrambled in position but you can see the snaps. One of these days I’ll rebuild the website.

ModeratorNo, but you can use the adhesive backed velcro for the job. The hard
backed stuff needs to be stapled. Get a roll of the high strength stuff
from Home Depot and just cut it. You don’t need to have the whole length
of the cushion (or you’ll not be able to get it off).Bob

john stevensonParticipantMine are held by cloth backed velcro and staples. Have to replace one
strip every once in a while, but otherwise it works fine.Regards,

ParticipantGlad to hear that, John (and Bob). I bought a roll of
that stuff from Home Depot, but thought I’d check on
the availability of the hard-backed Velcro, which I’ve
never seen anywhere else. Either way I’ll reinforce the
attachment with carpet tacks. I did that for my hatch
screens and it has held on for years.Tor
