ParticipantHello all,
Our galley sink is not the original, but was installed by the PO. The sink installed is of very nice quality, but is a single large sink. We prefer a double sink, as we had on our last vessel, and which is I believe the originally specified galley sink on the 424. We are having some difficulty locating a double sink of appropriate size and are looking for suggestions. The opening in our current countertop is 21″X16″ (don’t know how this compares to the original). Our countertop material is Corian, which I’m sure I can figure out how to cut to a larger dimension, as required. Anyway, I would sure appreciate any ideas anyone might have.

David,
Scandvik (
http://www.scandvik.com/index.cfm/method/Shopping_list/CatId/138.htm) sells
small (and expensive) galley sinks. They may not have a standard sink the
specific size you are looking for, but you may be able to adapt one to your
needs. Also look at wet bar sinks. You may be able to find two small
sinks that side by side will fit your cutout.
Let us know if you find one that fits.Regards,

Try a search of “RV kitchen sinks” Better chance of finding something that will fit, and less money.

I think Rich is right, the biggest problem for finding a non-marine product
is the depth. It appears most home and RV sinks are about 6″ deep. My
sink is 9″ deep. I wouldn’t want to give up that 3″.Regards,

I was/am planning to replace the sink in my galley. Sounds like the same one, double sink and about 9″ deep and I also do not want to give up any depth and keep the double sink.
I moved that project down on the list so lost the link but when I started the search after a bit of googling I did find a reasonably priced, exact replacement. So I think they are out there, just a matter of finding them.
If I can turn up the old info on this I will post it.
