I can’t take credit for this idea. I stole it from a friend at my yacht club. Bringing the 424 into a dock to get water can sometimes be difficult when cruising. In the past, I’ve been very strict about conserving fresh water. I no longer have that problem. I obtained a 20-gal bladder tank and a 12V transfer pump. When going ashore, I fill the bladder and transfer it to one of the water tanks using the 12v pump. Since I go ashore almost every day, I can replenish about 20 gal/day. This is about what I use on a daily basis.

I also use a bladder system that I got the idea from this group a few years
ago. I have a 40 gal. Bladder that fits on the floor of my Walker Bay
rib. I use a spare fresh water pump to get the water on board. I can
usually replenish about 80 gal. In an hour, but I still have to pay for
      the water.
