      Good afternoon all.
So we’re at the boat, putting the halyards and sails back on…and the
      mainsheet.
I’m horrible at figuring out tackle routing.
Anyone have a pic or two showing the original setup? Thanks!

Never mind. I figured it out…then found a picture I took. Sometimes it pays to slow down and think. 🙂

      Evan,

It took me a while to figure out this important clue… make sure the
blocks are locked from turning. If they can turn, the sheet will tend
to twist up and act like an unwanted brake for the boom.

You know it, Tor. I take pictures of everything I tear apart. I learned long ago that my mind can’t keep up. Unfortunately, I didn’t take it apart. Luckily, I took a million pics during the survey!

Thanks for the hint, Pete. I’m going to end up scrapping this one like a lot of you guys have. I like your Garhauer.

yup… and the Garhauer blocks need to have the little hex set screw in
the side cranked down so they don’t rotate. Bill at Garhauer set me
      straight on that.
