The W58 is now ready to be hoisted out of the boat. I assume it will fit through the companionway (I did measure width and it looks like it will clear. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to make removal easier? I’m also assuming that it will have to be tipped on a slight angle to clear the companionway. Your thoughts are appreciated!

Do it at an angle – you’re right about the tip.
Have someone below to help control it. But make sure they’re out of the way.
      Tape off the companionway trim.
It will drip fluids, despite your best efforts. So put down some rags etc.

You might remove the alternator and anything else that makes it narrower.

When I swapped mine out I had to lift it out bell housing end first.
It came right out w no problems.
