Has anyone taken down the shower stall overhead panel? I’ve removed most of the retaining trim pieces, but the
panel remains immobile. I now suspect Pearson bedded that piece to the inside of the coachhouse with silicone.
(I can see a little bit of the cursed stuff in one corner.) Anybody know?

I bet you're correct – silicone.  That crap is all over.  The good news is that it pulls right off.  The bad news is that it adheres very strongly to the coach roof.  You should be able to remove the panel without breaking it – but if you do break it, I think it's masonite or at the very best, laminate.

Yes, mine was bedded with silicone. ‘All’ the trim had to be removed to get the panel out. I think I pulled down a corner and hacked at the silicone with a hand saw.
I reinstalled it using silicone but used much less of it. You only need a little support in the center, if the panel needs any additional, as the edges are well supported and the panel is pretty stiff. I didn’t use velco because I thought the adhesive might come unstuck with all the moisture.

      Have fun!

Nah, I decided I don’t really have to remove that panel for what I’m doing. I’ll just thru-bolt right through the sucker and dress the bolt ends with cap nuts.
