Does anybody know where I can get one or two of those 8″ aluminum cleats (originally painted black) that
Pearson used on the aft and side cockpit combings? Are they still manufactured? Anyone have an unwanted one
      (or pair) laying around?

I think I have two of those. I’ll measure them and get back with you.

I measured and what I have is two each 10″ aluminum cleats and two each 9 1/4 inch aluminum cleats.

      Lee,

Thank you very much for checking. I was mistaken about the measurements… twice. The side cleats and aft quarter cleats are not the same size. I just went out and measured. The quarter cleats aft, intended for dock lines, are 9-1/4″. The cockpit combing side cleats, originally installed as genoa sheet cleats, are 7-3/4″. It is these smaller cleats that I hope to match. The 10″ cleats you have were the original bow cleats, intended for anchor rodes, etc.

Alas, what you have I can’t use, and what I can use you don’t have. Cruel, cruel world!

      Tor-
The 10″ alumium cleats are by Schaeffer, availble at West Marine at an obsene price. Maybe the smaller ones are Schaeffer too.

Thanks, Quent. I suspect you’re right about the brand since the styling is consistent.
