john stevensonParticipantWell, it's been raining almost continuously here on the Chesapeake since Wednesday night. The easterly wind has also produced a moderate storm surge. Our docks were built at last 2' too low with tiny finger piers. So it's been difficult to get on and off the boat for days. More rain is one the way. I haven't been able to do much with my outstanding projects list and I've watched all of my DVDs a gazillian times, so to avoid cabin fever I've spent most of the last couple of days developing another Excel workbook application.
This is one Pete Dubler recommended last year when I was developing the Inventory workbook (still an on-going development). So I've made my first cut at it and it seems to work pretty well for me. It allows me to define a maintenance schedule for the major systems on Sarah and record maintenance activity against that schedule. It also generates a few reports that can be used to monitor the maintenance state of those systems. If anyone is interested v1.3 of the workbook can be downloaded <.. snip>

ParticipantJohn,
I use your inventory program regularly and value it highly. Still entering stuff a bit at a time and have a ways to go before it’s complete, but even what I have helps me find stuff often. Needless to say, I’ll be downloading and using your maintenance schedule program, too. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
