      We always had a pair of davits that were attached to the pushpit which placed quite a load on them.
      Another idea was to create a gate at the stern so that it is easier to climb aboard from the swimming platform.
      Only solution was to re-design the davits. The davit consists of a member in tension and another is compression. The ‘tension’ member is attached to the bimini. There are other posts which show the bimini which has a hard top.

      Next step is to cut the old pushpit and install a gate.
