There was a string abit ago about replacing the black plastic fittings –
ALL of mine are leaking. What size are they?
That and wireing my radar are this weekends projects – lets see, so the rule of 5 means I will have 10 more things to do……Post generated from Pearson424 Forum using Mail2Forum

ModeratorHi Eric,
The tubing is 1/2″ OD, 3/8″ ID, and Home Depot has a bunch of the fittings for not too much money. They are super simple to use (cut tubing square, insert into fitting, all done). They also have the tubing.

RichCarterParticipantMost of us have probably replaced the black pastic fittings with brass. Home Depot sells a replacement that screws right in where the pastic ones are.

ModeratorHi Eric,
The plastic ones screw right in, too, to the headers and so forth. It's your choice. The plastic ones are less expensive and easier to install. But either will work. I don't like using the brass ones because it's something else to corrode. Not that they will in my lifetime, I suppose, but that's just my two cents.
Either way, you'll be much happier with your installation.
