I’ve been sprucing up the interior of my boat with a few simple things. I added new curtains to the main cabin. Its surprisingly difficult to find curtains that fit. Custom curtains are expensive. While shopping for new boat towels last fall, I can across some valance curtains in a discount store. They were in the clearance section for $4/pkg. Each package had one 72″ curtain. I bought four packages. These are about 18″ tall and are normally hung above a window. We sent them out to a local seamstress who cut them down to the width of the coach sides, cut them in half, pleated them and added sliding hooks. This makes a pair of curtains about 24″ wide for each portlight. I think it cost a bottle of wine. I’ll send out photos when I get a chance. They look great and cost almost nothing.

Rich
