We can’t both have hull #47.

As discussed in earlier threads, all the hoses in the boats should be checked. The black rubber hoses Pearson used last about 25 years. The wire rusts and the rubber gets brittle. All mine are replaced. If the engine ever overheats hot exhaust gas can do a number on the exhaust hose.

Always use the proper hose clamp for exhaust hose. Normal hose clamps won’t work because the hose wall is too thick

I have been replacing all my deck and cockpit drain hoses due to age. I found the the steel backing wire in the hose has rusted out about 2 to 3 inches from the ends of the hose. Most of this area is covered by the hose clamps giving you a false since of secuirty. If you have any orignal hoses (deck, drain, feed or exhaust) its time to change.

Well there you go, made me put something else on my list. I bought the hose and clamps today. I want to do all my “hose” work while I’m on the hard.
