The Pearson 424 Website is a wonderful resource. We wish to thank those responsible for creating the site and all the individuals who have added content. We owned a P365 for over a decade, cruising the Great Lakes with our four very young children. My wife would run the daycare center below while sailed port to port. We sold the boat as our family evolved. We relocated to SW Florida a few years ago. Now it the time to buy and begin to rekindle our ownership of a Pearson. We are considering either a 424 or 422. It has been many years since I was on board a 424 and never on 422. I have never sailed on either, however I have a great deal of confidence in Bill Shaw’s design.

Our oldest daughter lives in Houston with her husband. Daughter number two in Philly, however her husband maybe posted to London. Son number three will be in Washington for two years and the baby is graduating from USF this spring and is now looking to move to Houston. What we are looking for is a comfortable second home capable of moving from port to port and crossing the Atlantic.

We are planning to purchase within the next six to nine months. If you are planning on selling please contact us with details on your boat. Also, we welcome any comments from other members.

I am very familar with the Pearson 424 for sale in Oriental,NC[Mike Bogie’s boat].It spent most of its life up north and stored during the winter-it’s listed on yachtworld.Worth looking at.Deaton’s yacht brokerage not only has it listed, but Jack  bought a 424 after selling a few.
