Great source for Westerbeke 58 Gasket sets

I just thought I’d pass along this tidbit for you W58 owners.
In preparation for tearing my engine apart, I was able to ascertain that the W58 was, with caveats, a Perkins 4.154. That knowledge led me to:

The upper gasket kit cost me $75 including 2-day shipping from the UK. Yes, actual 2-day! Incredible service.
That kit had ALMOST all the gaskets but the thermostat gasket is not correct. But you can hand cut one of those from sheet material.
I had to supplement with the following from Torrreson for $30 total:
Gasket, Fresh Water Connector, 24763
Gasket, Exhaust Flange 31204
Gasket, Exchanger, 31291

So…an ENTIRE upper gasket kit, great quality, including valve seals and injector washers/seals for $105. That’s $14 less than Torreson sells the head gasket.

YMMV, though, so do the homework. 🙂
