I just cant spend boat units fast enough…… Also have to replace Main and Jib halyard.
Any preferences out there for Sampson vs New England Ropes?

      Eric,
I don't think there is a significant difference in quality between the two products (at least for halyards).  If you have access to a Port Supply account the NE ropes will probably be much cheaper through WM.

since you’re in New England, I suggest contacting Northeast Rigging for an opinion and price.

      Hi Eric,

I replaced mine with New England Ropes with the 'paralay' core – they're meant for halyards, they are fairly stiff, and strong with a good hand.  They stretch very little and are reasonably priced.  I used 7/16″ line.  You may want to go to 1/2″, but considering the sail size and loading, it's not necessary.
