Helm Seat – Mounting to aft lazarette

  Hi All,
  I’ve seen some people mounting a standard boat seat pedestal to the aft laz cover (directly behind the helm. I was wondering what, if any, form of reinforcement is necessary? Just backing plate? Additional glass? Bracing?
