So I beg this ?, how hot does everyone run. My gauge shows 180 and sometimes goes under or over. The water is pretty cool up here and it seems to make a difference. I’m running a 20″ prop at 1800 rpms. normal cruise speed around 6.5 estimated.

Diesels don’t like to run cold. Its bad for the rings and sleeves. The engine should run to whatever temperature your thermostat is set for; typically 195F.

180 is totally good. Less is bad.

I’m not being terse. This is from my mobile.
