I discovered a small crack in the fuel return line on my W58. It’s on the last injector.
Question, do you think brazening it would be OK or silver soldered?

      Hi Alan,

Brazing would be fine. Return lines are low pressure.

I think you will find that your fuel return line is the same size as brake lines used in automobiles. You should be able to cut out the damaged piece and splice in a piece of brake line using compression fittings.

Another great idea!  You could also use a piece of rubber fuel hose (1/4″ id) and a couple of hose clamps.

It broke right where the little line comes out of the injector. Right on the joint where it was welded.
I must have stepped on it while I ran to get my cell phone on Friday. I was putting on the sound proofing tiles. Didn’t notice it till I was underway.
I used “atomic repair tape” to patch up. Worked long enough to get a good sail in yesterday and motor into the dock.

Well, you could clean up the joint really well and use marinetex, or you could take apart the whole header and have it re-brazed.
