Just came in from outside at cape fear, heading north up icw. Can
anyone suggest a reasonable spot to lay up for two weeks or so near
mile marker 200-175? I’m toast and I need to regroup.

Beaufort, NC is pleasant and laid-back way. Real quiet this time of year. Good anchorage. Not sure about the marinas
there, but you can find out by calling Nelson Yacht Sales at 252-728-0776.

In Beauford as of last year there are no marinas that give a break for extended stay. Expect to pay about $2.00 per foot per night. There is an anchorage across from Beauford Docks but watch the bottom it is vary hard. Beauford is 2 days on the ICW and 1 day on the outside from Wright sville Beach.

Beaufort has free car for cruisers at the museum. You can hang on a
      mooring ball pretty cheaply there.
