      Greetings, ALL:
      I may be in the market for a new mainsail when I return from the Bahamas;
have just repaired a tear that was too easily inflicted.
If any one has easy access to the foot/leech/luff dimensions, that would
be helpful, as well as any thoughts on weight, lofts, experiences, price,
etc., tks. I’m a ketch rig, btw..
      BILL, in George Town.

      Bill,
Here is a link to the P424 sail plan I put on my website:
      http://www.svsarah.com/Sarah/Images/Sail%20Plan%20Med.JPG

It is difficult to read as I had to scan the original plan in 8xs11
sections then piece them together. I believe Pat publish a clean image of
the plan on the P424 website. You might search there for it.

If you need it I can send you a copy. But honestly, any sailmaker will
have the measurement or you can do it yourself.

thanks, Bob. Another boat here in George Town has a candidate sail, and I
was just trying for a quick response from someone who may have had the
measurements at their fingertips, as Internet availability is poor when it
      exists at all and costly.
      Have a good day.

Need to measure the mast from gooseneck to black band at masthead. My sailmaker, Haarstick, found 2 different measurements for p424 ketches.
They did a great job on all my sails. And I believe Walt was happy with them also.

Tks Bob. Even if the luff is off a bit as Al suggests it could be, the
price is right – either myself or the sail loft can make it work if the sail
      is otherwise acceptable.

      Sorry Bill,

      Here are the numbers:

      Main sail: P: 38′ 0″, E: 14′ 6″

      Mizzen: P: 23′ 0″, E: 8′ 9″

Where P is the luff and E is the foot.

      Good luck,

      Bill,
Here is a link to the P424 sail plan I put on my website:
      http://www.svsarah.com/Sarah/Images/Sail%20Plan%20Med.JPG

It is difficult to read as I had to scan the original plan in 8xs11
sections then piece them together. I believe Pat publish a clean

      image

      of

the plan on the P424 website. You might search there for it.

I replaced my main last season. If someone needs a fullbatten main in fair condition, please let me know. Otherwise it’s off to Bacon’s for consignment. It will fit a tall ketch or sloop.
