      A few days or weeks back there was a thread on mooring pendants.  It has been over 35 years since I last kept my boat on a mooring (1981-1984 in Newport, RI), so I paid only brief attention to the thread and did not contribute.  
      Today, I was on the Compass Marine website looking up a different manner when I found this article on mooring pendants: http://www.pbase.com/mainecruising/mooring_pendants
      I think it would be of interest to anyone keeping or planning to keep their boat on a mooring.  It also supports Rich's post on that thread.
