ParticipantTime in a Bottle-is my boat-Joe Shimkonis- live and keep it in Coquina Harbor,SC- I am on the mailing list and read the emails daily-
boat is well maintained with many upgrades. Mikie likes it was sold and moved to Long Island.
Calico Jack is located in Oriental-Jack is part owner of Deaton’s Yacht Brokerage in Oriental. He’s done alot of work on his Pearson424 and well maintained.
Sunocean is also in Oriental on Whittaker creek. Not in a marina but behind a house.
Call Jack at Deaton’s brokerage and you may be able to see his boat.
Pete Dubler moved his boat from Oriental to Colorado for a major refit.
Oriental is a great little sailing area and there are several Marinas there – population 800-sailboats 3000________________________________

I believe there are still two 424’s at the Grand Marina behind the Hilton (formerly the Sheriton). HiFlite is down the river somewhat across from Oriental. Sunocean and Calico Jack are in Oriental. I believe there was a 424 anchored in Beaufort this summer but I never got a good look at the name. Not sure if it is still there.

ParticipantHi Pat:
My 424 “MOJO” is in Oriental, The boat was formerly “ICON”. I bought it in St Simons,Ga. I sold four 424s from 2008 to 2010.I was the broker for “Mikey Likes It”. I sold it to past member Mike Bogie and then sold it for Mike to a buyer from Pa. I don’t know what the name was changed to. I run the brokerage at Deaton Yachts, we currently have the 424 HiFlyte in the yard (not for sale) being worked on. There was a 424 docked at the former Sheraton marina in New Bern, I don’t know if it’s still there. I’m out of town for 5 days or I would be glad to get you onboard Mojo, maybe next time.

SpectatorDidn’t end up looking for any boats, my parents don’t get around like they
used to. Anyway, New Bern and Beaufort were very nice little towns. The NC
State Maritime Museum in Beaufort is a must see if you’rein the area. They
have actual artifacts from Blackbeard’s Ship!Fair Winds,

ParticipantWould you be up to showing your boat off ? I am searching the east coast for a 424 and have seen a few but none near me. Would be great to meet a local owner and get some feedback. I am only two hours from Oriental.
