Hi Tor,
Right now she’s in New Bern, NC. That was where she was located when we purchased her in July. We had been living in NH for the past 15 years and looking for a liveaboard in the Southeast. We moved on to the boat in mid August and are absolutely loving it.
Currently we’re hauled out in a yard across the river from our slip getting some bottom repairs done and new paint.
Windward Star is one of the cutter rigged 424’s with a furling main and head sails. I’ve not yet had her out for a sail(need a new main sail) so I have no idea of the sailing characteristics. I’d be interested to hear from some other cutter owners. I understand that there were only a handful made.Quote:On Oct 12, 2015, at 3:51 PM, Silverheels via maillist wrote:Welcome, James. Welcome, Jim.
We purchased Revery, #219, almost a year ago. She’s also a club footed cutter, but has no furler for the main (which we prefer). We’re currently landlocked while she rests in Cape Canaveral but get down to see her often.
Maybe we’ll cross paths one day…true sister ships!Evan
