Jack & Patricia Tyler, on Whoosh, departed the Galapagos on the 16th heading
for the Marquesas. For the past week they have been in the trades and have
been averaging more than 170 miles/day since then with one day over 190 nm.
I was thrilled with back-to-back 160+ nm days on the way from Madeira to
Bermuda in 2005. I thought that was about as good this old boat would go.
Now I’ve got to adjust that thinking.—
