I’ve got a pair of original, long, aluminum, non-opening portlights
taking up room on my boat ever since I replaced them with opening
portholes. Anybody want them for the cost of shipping?Tor

Hi Rich,
I replaced the originals with Bomar aluminum portholes, a “special
order” from Port Supply, item No. 9022260 (but it’s not in their online
catalog). Paid $664.30 for the pair in 2007. They’re well made, were a
near instant fit (just a little cutting), and I’ve been very happy with
them.Tor

threw them out…On Sat, Dec 10, 2011 at 4:14 PM, Silverheels wrote:

Hey Bob,
A guy on another 424 down here claimed one of them. I decided to keep
the other to replace a shabby one that’s in my galley. As a last resort,
this boat yard had a Free Table in the laundry room, where people leave
stuff too good to throw away and others are welcome to take it. (I get
all my boat yard work cloths there!)Silverheels is about ready to set sail for the DR early next week, with
a crew of 3 + me. Decided to skip Turks & Caicos and Luperon, make a
little more easting above the trades, and head directly to DR’s
southeast coast by way of the Mona Passage. Fun! Are you working &
wintering up north?Hasta luego,
Tor
