Hi Tor,
I am considering replacement of opening ports with new or rebuilt opening ports.
My boat presently has four large Bomar cast aluminum opening ports and six smaller Beckson plastic opening ports, all with screens. All have become cloudy with age and some of the plastic ones hae cracked in places.
Quent’s earlier message prompted the thought of obtaining and rebuilding six of the smaller Bomars to replace the Becksons and rebuilding my large ports at the same time. My thinking was that I could end up with an attractive looking matched set of ports with better quality hardware than I have at present at considerable lower cost than going with new ss or aluminum ports.
