It would be a bad idea to place the pump in the bilge. The bilge is damp and moisture is bound to get into the pump housing and motor. Your pump would be more reliable if mounted in the cabin somewhere such as under the galley sink. You might be able to tap into the existing sink drain system to discharge the water from your shower pan much like a dishwasher does in most kitchens. Mine goes to the hanging locker next to the midship companionway through a vented riser and has its own through-hull.You want to use two hoses for two pumps.
