I have one of those insecticide sprayershower arrangements that I took with me to Burning Man many times! It works awesome and I plan to put it on the boat when I start loading her up.

I plan to run a hose back to the cockpit from the wash down. The main reason is for fishing. I have to use the fresh water shower now when a fish decides to bleed all over the cockpit. Right now it’s not a big deal but when I get out there and fresh water is expensive, it seems like pulling a water line to one of the combing boxes will be well worth the trouble. The swim platform does make a great place for a wash down before the kids have a chance to track sand and salt all over the cushions.

      Hey Linus,

Those are good reasons to have pressure seawater in the cockpit area. Also might be good reasons to locate the pump closer, such as under the galley sink as Bob Fine did, so it can more easily service both ends of the boat. Anyway, you know best what works for you and the way you cruise. There’s no absolute right or wrong to it.
